When Isac Ciuvică came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ponita SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Ciuvică couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Costel Pintilie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ponita SC's Florin Pacurar got control of the ball when Luca Petran tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dragoş Mazilu fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ponita SC's protests and gave Dragoş Mazilu a yellow card for diving instead.
