Spectators: 7325 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristian Zgîrţa kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Cristian Zgîrţa made a precise shot to the right of Iosif Drăgoescu. Colnago Mexico 72's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Iosif Drăgoescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Zgîrţa in the 8th minute of play. Colnago Mexico 72's Iosif Drăgoescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugurel Măcrineanu in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Petru Donici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iosif Drăgoescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Mircea Zberea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Petru Donici made a precise shot to the right of Iosif Drăgoescu. Colnago Mexico 72's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Zgîrţa in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iosif Drăgoescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iosif Drăgoescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Zgîrţa in the 27th minute of play. Petru Donici took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iosif Drăgoescu. Iosif Drăgoescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 37th minute, Mugurel Măcrineanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iosif Drăgoescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 40th minute, Mugurel Măcrineanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Mugurel Măcrineanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Drăgoescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Zgîrţa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mugurel Măcrineanu took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iosif Drăgoescu. Iosif Drăgoescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mircea Zberea was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Mugurel Măcrineanu took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Iosif Drăgoescu to make any attempt to save it. Petru Donici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Mircea Zberea made a precise shot to the right of Horaţiu Nacu. Ghencea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. Horaţiu Nacu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Zberea, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Paul Bolcaș's late challenge caught a Colnago Mexico 72's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Bolcaș helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Ghencea got a freekick which was hit by Paul Bolcaș. A hard shot by Paul Bolcaș from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Iosif Drăgoescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 82 minutes of play, Ghencea's Cristian Zgîrţa made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iosif Drăgoescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Zgîrţa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Drăgoescu having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Ghencea got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Hobjilă. Henrik Hjeltman might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horaţiu Nacu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrik Hjeltman ran back to his position shaking his head.
