Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Adrian Ciolacu got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Adrian Ciolacu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rareș Dumitru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ovidiu Dabija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Cârneci having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Adrian Ciolacu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DrumLung's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Ciolacu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurențiu Brănet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 minutes, Sever Răuțchi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potingani FCM and the DrumLung players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Ciolacu in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rareș Dumitru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Laurențiu Brănet came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the DrumLung fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurențiu Brănet couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, DrumLung's Niculae Tănăsescu got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Costin Apostolescu came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Potingani FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costin Apostolescu couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the game, one of Potingani FCM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave DrumLung a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Martin Pârvuță, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Potingani FCM's Rareș Dumitru. 0-2. After the first half DrumLung were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costin Apostolescu was the one to do the kick off. Ionel Cârneci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Apostolescu in the 52nd minute of play. Martin Pârvuță's late challenge caught a Potingani FCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Pârvuță helped the player get up and apologised. Rareș Dumitru made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Laurențiu Brănet sent off a good shot on target. Ionel Cârneci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Apostolescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidiu Dabija's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ionel Cârneci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 81st minute Adrian Ciolacu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Dumitru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrian Ciolacu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rareș Dumitru saved Potingani FCM from getting behind. When Adrian Ciolacu came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the DrumLung fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Ciolacu couldn't finish the play. DrumLung's Adrian Ciolacu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Costin Apostolescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potingani FCM's supporters rose to their feet, but Costin Apostolescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionel Cârneci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurențiu Brănet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Dumitru having to interfere. The DrumLung players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
