Spectators: 7184 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Sustorog's Victor Harnagea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Denis Orghidan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Harnagea in the 5th minute of the match. In the 5th match minute, UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Trăistaru to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sustorog booed when UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Moșanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sustorog's Ionel Dragoș tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Victor Harnagea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Orghidan having to make a save. UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Denis Orghidan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA from getting a goal against them. Victor Harnagea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Orghidan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Fetea in the 14th minute of play. When Sustorog's Ionel Dragoș in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalie prevented a goal. Florin Halipas short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Denis Orghidan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 18 minutes into the game, Florin Halipa lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Denis Orghidan. Dorel Mustățea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Botgros in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Aurelian Fetea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 26 minutes, Victor Harnagea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sustorog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Harnagea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dorel Mustățea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Barbăsură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Orghidan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Bociort, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Sustorog's Victor Harnagea in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sustorog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Halipa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ionel Dragoș was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Sustorog's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Botgros was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Dragoș in the 51st minute of play forced UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Denis Orghidan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sustorog's Ionel Dragoș got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorel Mustățea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Botgros, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Halipa in the 60th minute of play forced UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Denis Orghidan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Radu Răuțu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Denis Orghidan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69thth minute of the game Victor Harnagea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Denis Orghidan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Sustorog's goalkeeper Dorel Mustățea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cezar Mitescu. Denis Orghidan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Harnagea in the 77th minute of the match. Ionel Dragoș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Orghidan having to interfere. Florin Halipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sustorog's Radu Răuțu in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalie prevented a goal. When Robert Bociort came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sustorog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Bociort couldn't finish the play. Florin Halipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florin Halipa in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denis Orghidan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denis Orghidan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Dragoș in the 93rd minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sustorog fully deserved thier win.
