George Mateescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isac Cosoroabă's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Herculian's Petre Nenițescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Herculian from getting a goal against them. Constantin Nastac charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantin Nastac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Teghesul FC's Constantin Nastac got a free kick in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Daria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teghesul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herculian the free kick. A collision led to Teghesul FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ovidiu Daria hit a great ball. When Herculian's Ernest Jumancă in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Teghesul FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ernest Jumancă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Isac Cosoroabă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Mateescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herculian's Ernest Jumancă got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Mateescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isac Cosoroabă in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Herculian booed when Teghesul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Daria didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Mateescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Jumancă in the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Herculian getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Isac Cosoroabă hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Herculian's Eric Lucian got a free kick in the 21st minute. Silviu Pupăzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Herculian's goalkeeper Petre Nenițescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silviu Pupăzan. Ernest Jumancă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Mateescu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Silviu Pupăzan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teghesul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silviu Pupăzan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Nenițescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Jumancă to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg George Mateescu managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Herculian's Isac Cosoroabă fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 53rd minute, Constantin Nastac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petre Nenițescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. George Mateescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Jumancă in the 60th minute of the match. Isac Cosoroabă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but George Mateescu made a huge save. Teghesul FC's George Mateescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Jumancă in the 63rd minute of play. Isac Cosoroabă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Teghesul FC got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Chesaru. Teghesul FC's George Mateescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Teghesul FC from getting a goal against them. Ernest Jumancă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Teghesul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Jumancă came free, but George Mateescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Mateescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isac Cosoroabă in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Jumancă in the 88th minute of play forced Teghesul FC's goalkeeper George Mateescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isac Cosoroabă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teghesul FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Herculian for a fine match.
