After 6 played minutes, Homoraciul's Niculae Muntian shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tudor Hănescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Homoraciul reached it. After some careless play in the Homoraciul defense, Rareș Enășoiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Muslea. The Homoraciul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Muslea should have stopped the shot. After 11 minutes, Costică Aluchei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adanoata FCM and the Homoraciul players grew even worse after the yellow card. Damian Muslea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Movileanu in the 13th minute of play. If Constantin Giurgiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Muslea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iacob Movileanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rareș Enășoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iacob Movileanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Muslea having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Homoraciul's zone, Costică Aluchei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Muslea came out of the goal and Costică Aluchei tried to chip the ball over his head. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionuț Boieraș made a kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iacob Movileanu couldn't finish the play. Iacob Movileanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Mureșan got free with Damian Muslea in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adanoata FCM's Vali Mureșan got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 89 minutes, Iacob Movileanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adanoata FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iacob Movileanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damian Muslea made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Vali Mureșan sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Adanoata FCM's Constantin Giurgiu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Constantin Giurgiu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Adanoata FCM protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Constantin Giurgiu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Adanoata FCM! Tudor Hănescu went to the wrong direction when Niculae Muntian was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
