The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kataloi. 2-0 came through a penalty shot after 19 played minutes, when TRICOLORUL:s Flavius Neața calmly waited for Kataloi:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Viorel Abraham was a little too slow when Mugurel Păsărin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Borogeanu in the 27th minute of play forced TRICOLORUL's goalkeeper Cristian Dragușin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Nechifor Oncescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TRICOLORUL's Cristian Dragușin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Kataloi's Irinel Gherghescu got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Silviu Trăiloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute.
