Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horaţiu Barboni to make the kick off. After some careless play in the TRICOLORUL defense, Anton Brășneanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Dragușin. The TRICOLORUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Dragușin should have stopped the shot. Anton Brășneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in TRICOLORUL fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Horaţiu Barboni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Dragușin having to interfere. Mugurel Păsărin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ion Păuceanu fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored L.P.S Buzau's protests and gave Ion Păuceanu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to L.P.S Buzau getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ion Păuceanu hit a great ball. Silviu Trăiloiu struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Filip Macavei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TRICOLORUL. If Silviu Trăiloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, L.P.S Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Trăiloiu came free, but Filip Macavei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anton Brășneanu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the L.P.S Buzau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Brășneanu couldn't finish the play. If Horaţiu Barboni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Brășneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cristian Dragușin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 98 played minutes L.P.S Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Barboni. The TRICOLORUL supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TRICOLORUL would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
