After a defensive mix-up in Urtica's zone, Costin Stoian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Jerca came out of the goal and Costin Stoian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cezar Cercelescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Stănciulescu in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toader Jerca saved Urtica from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Urtica's Iulian Andreescu got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Fantani's Grigore Stănciulescu in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Urtica's goalie prevented a goal. When Iulian Andreescu fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urtica's protests and gave Iulian Andreescu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fantani booed when Urtica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Andreescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toader Jerca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grigore Stănciulescu went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Fantani getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cristinel Luca hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Corneliu Ferenț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Urtica's Andrei Tufescu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Urtica booed when Fantani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Rotariu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavril Grecu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Ţirpescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Grigore Stănciulescu took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toader Jerca. Toader Jerca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Toader Jerca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Răzvan Dancu went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Dacian Ţirpescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grigore Stănciulescu to make the kick off. If Grigore Stănciulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Fantani's Toader Jerca threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Grigore Stănciulescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cezar Cercelescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Toader Jerca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Sebastian Nicolescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urtica and the Fantani players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes, Urtica's Andrei Tufescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gavril Grecu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Urtica reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Urtica's zone, Grigore Stănciulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Jerca came out of the goal and Grigore Stănciulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee showed Costin Stoian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute of the match Andrei Tufescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavril Grecu skillfully saved the ball. Grigore Stănciulescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toader Jerca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grigore Stănciulescu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Corneliu Ferenț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Florin Tărbac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Dacian Ţirpescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavril Grecu. Fantani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dacian Ţirpescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Fantani's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
