Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kataloi's Nechifor Oncescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Horia Aurelianu fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Praid's protests and gave Horia Aurelianu a yellow card for diving instead. Horia Aurelianu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute, Nechifor Oncescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Remus Tănăsescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Praid getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Valeriu Roşu hit a great ball. If Sergiu Lera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Praid's goal looked a bit too open when Nechifor Oncescu came free, but Haimar Garmendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Praid's İsmail Rami seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed İsmail Rami the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Praid protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and İsmail Rami had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Praid! 24 minutes into the match, Praid's goal looked a bit too open when Nechifor Oncescu came free, but Haimar Garmendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match, Iosif Vâlcu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Haimar Garmendia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Remus Tănăsescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Praid's supporters rose to their feet, but Remus Tănăsescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viorel Abraham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valeriu Roşu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Abraham having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Praid's goal looked a bit too open when Nechifor Oncescu came free, but Haimar Garmendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remus Tănăsescu was the one to do the kick off. Praid's Haimar Garmendia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Vâlcu in the 55th minute of play. Remus Tănăsescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Abraham having to interfere. If Valeriu Roşu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kataloi's Iosif Vâlcu got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Praid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Roşu to maneuver through the defense. Nechifor Oncescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Kataloi's goalkeeper Viorel Abraham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remus Tănăsescu. If Nechifor Oncescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
