But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Huștiu couldn't finish the play. Codruț Elefterescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dragoş Andriescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codruț Elefterescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dragoş Andriescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Huștiu to strike the kick off in the second half. If Gavril Mihăescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilian Babarada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Huștiu in the 63rd minute of play. Gavril Mihăescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Codruț Elefterescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Andriescu having to interfere. Gavril Mihăescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Gavril Mihăescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dragoş Andriescu. Gavril Mihăescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Gavril Mihăescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dragoş Andriescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gavril Mihăescu ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Gavril Mihăescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dragoş Andriescu was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Ivan Huștiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Babarada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC VersatileZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
