The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionică Antohi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dinamo Triaj getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. With an all-out effort, Dinamo Triaj's Dragoş Andriescu threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Will Godfrey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, f.c. bacau's Dragoş Andriescu got control of the ball when Efrain Joseph tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodor Mazilu scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alens Becker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Dinamo Triaj's Will Godfrey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dragoş Andriescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dragoş Andriescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Godfrey in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Ionică Antohi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Will Godfreys short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Dragoş Andriescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Efrain Joseph who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Dragoş Andriescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute, f.c. bacau's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Will Godfrey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Dinamo Triaj booed when f.c. bacau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Mazilu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Efrain Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The long shot by Felix Levința in the 45th minute really tested Dragoş Andriescu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Will Godfrey to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in f.c. bacau's zone, Will Godfrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dragoş Andriescu came out of the goal and Will Godfrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the game, Dinamo Triaj's Efrain Joseph nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dragoş Andriescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 62nd minute, f.c. bacau's Costel Bojincă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Ivan Huștiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Alens Becker made a huge save. Efrain Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Teodor Mazilu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alens Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Huștiu got free with Alens Becker in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Dinamo Triaj defense, Petrică Bâru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alens Becker. The Dinamo Triaj fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alens Becker should have stopped the shot. Dragoş Andriescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Godfrey in the 77th minute of play. If Efrain Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Joseph in the 81st minute of play forced f.c. bacau's goalkeeper Dragoş Andriescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Joseph recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petrică Bâru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. f.c. bacau had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
