Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Costel Bojincă started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Huștiu in the 4th minute of play forced FCSB's goalkeeper Mihail Zbârciog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, f.c. bacau's Costel Bojincă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihail Zbârciog narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Andrei Medrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, FCSB's Dragoş Andriescu threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ovidiu Muscaș, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Andrei Medrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, f.c. bacau's goalkeeper Dragoş Andriescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irinel Negulici. In the 28th match minute, f.c. bacau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Bâru to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Costel Bojincă managed to get in a good position for a shot. f.c. bacau's supporters rose to their feet, but Costel Bojincă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihail Zbârciog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irinel Negulici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the game, FCSB's Andrei Medrea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dragoş Andriescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Dragoş Andriescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Irinel Negulici in the 41st minute. f.c. bacau's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Andrei Medrea scored to the left of an out of position Dragoş Andriescu, making the score, 2-0. Andrei Medrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Andriescu having to interfere.

The wind increased when Andrei Medrea made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, FCSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Encuțu to maneuver through the defense. Andrei Medrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Andriescu having to interfere. Andrei Medrea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dragoş Andriescu having to make a save. In the 63rd match minute, f.c. bacau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Bâru to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Andrei Medrea in the 64th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 67 minutes, Ovidiu Muscaș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FCSB and the f.c. bacau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Ovidiu Muscaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihail Zbârciog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Bojincă in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of FCSB booed when f.c. bacau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Bojincă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Irinel Negulici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragoş Andriescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th match minute, f.c. bacau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Bâru to maneuver through the defense. Dragoş Andriescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrei Medrea went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Andrei Medrea struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Dragoş Andriescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCSB. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrei Medrea in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dragoş Andriescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sorin Urdoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When FCSB's Andrei Medrea in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye f.c. bacau's goalie prevented a goal. FCSB's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
