The audience was convinced that Edgar Stoleru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristinel Târcă was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The supporters of Cursaru booed when DOBRA Light was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihnea Şumălan didn't get a good kick on the ball. DOBRA Light's Traian Enache got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cursaru's zone, Edgar Stoleru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Târcă came out of the goal and Edgar Stoleru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Octav Postolache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cursaru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Postolache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Cursaru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DOBRA Light:s goal. If Edgar Stoleru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cursaru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DOBRA Light were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Traian Enache to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristinel Târcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Enache, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute.
