FC Carlsberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC STEAUA-BTF the free kick. After 35 played minutes FC Carlsberg got a freekick which was hit by Isac Câmpeanu. In the 37th minute, Rareș Bratu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Teodor Buhăescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petruț Dănășel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 47 played minutes FC Carlsberg got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Panaitescu. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gică Iorga to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, FC STEAUA-BTF's Dorel Macamete ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iulian Ghiondea. Gică Iorga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Andrei Dănciulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rareș Bratu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Ghiondea having to interfere. Dorel Macamete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Iulian Ghiondea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horaţiu Enache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC STEAUA-BTF's goalkeeper Ionuț Muscaș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC STEAUA-BTF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
