Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Harhoiu in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Târcă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Octav Postolache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mihail Nicodim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Denis Harhoiu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cluj Fighting Race fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Harhoiu couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 63rd minute, Denis Harhoiu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristinel Târcă. The goal made the score 1-1. Cursaru's Cristinel Târcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Harhoiu in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Denis Harhoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cluj Fighting Race's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Harhoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandu Hrandabur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Cristinel Târcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Harhoiu in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristinel Târcă, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristinel Târcă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Harhoiu's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Emanuel Agulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isac Milcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Postolache, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 97th minute, Denis Harhoiu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cristinel Târcă, passed just outside the right post. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cluj Fighting Race players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
