The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudiu Giurcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eric Hidișan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute Eric Hidișan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Muscaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionuț Muscaș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Hidișan in the 20th minute of play. If Rareș Bratu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorel Macamete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Druță having to interfere. In the 30th minute of the match Iosif Ailioaiei shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurențiu Druță showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rareș Bratu scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laurențiu Druță, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mihăiţă Mocanu hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA-BTF's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Hidișan came free, but Ionuț Muscaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorel Macamete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Druță having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eric Hidișan to strike the kick off in the second half. Nagyzsam FC's Horaţiu Cioculescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ionuț Muscaș in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rareș Bratu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rareș Bratus short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Laurențiu Druță to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Nagyzsam FC's Gabriel Izvoranu got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Petruț Dănășel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Claudiu Giurcă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionuț Muscaș was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Rareș Bratu took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurențiu Druță. Laurențiu Druță dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 74 minutes into the game, Martin Stoicescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nagyzsam FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC STEAUA-BTF the free kick. A collision led to Nagyzsam FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Martin Stoicescu hit a great ball. Dorel Macamete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Laurențiu Druță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurențiu Druță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Macamete, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Claudiu Giurcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nagyzsam FC's Laurențiu Druță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Nagyzsam FC from getting a goal against them. FC STEAUA-BTF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
