A beautiful save bye FC STEAUA-BTF's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gheorghe Zbora in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionuț Muscaș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gologanu FC's Cătălin Vermeşan got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Zbora lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Ionuț Muscaș. If Cătălin Vermeşan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gheorghe Zbora recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionuț Muscaș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gheorghe Zbora's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Gologanu FC's Cătălin Vermeşan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With his leg Ionuț Muscaș managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Gologanu FC's Cătălin Vermeşan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 31 minutes into the game, Dinu Jianu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gologanu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC STEAUA-BTF the free kick. Cătălin Vermeşan in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ionuț Muscaș, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gheorghe Zbora to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cătălin Vermeşan in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionuț Muscaș saved FC STEAUA-BTF from getting behind. If Gheorghe Zbora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mihail Marina charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mihail Marina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 83 minutes into the game, one of FC STEAUA-BTF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 84 minutes into the game, Gologanu FC's Sebastian Almajan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionuț Muscaș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gheorghe Zbora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Vermeşan in the 97th minute of play forced FC STEAUA-BTF's goalkeeper Ionuț Muscaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
