If Mihail Nicodim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Harhoiu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionuț Muscaș saved FC STEAUA-BTF from getting behind. In the 30thth minute of the game Denis Harhoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC STEAUA-BTF's Ionuț Muscaș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Harhoiu in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionuț Muscaș saved FC STEAUA-BTF from getting behind. The goalkeeper, Ionuț Muscaș, was totally fooled by Cluj Fighting Race's Mihail Nicodim, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Marian Cândea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ionuț Muscaș. FC STEAUA-BTF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 47 played minutes FC STEAUA-BTF got a freekick which was hit by Remus Albescu. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorel Macamete made a kick off. Emanuel Agulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ionuț Muscaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Harhoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC STEAUA-BTF getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Petruț Dănășel hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Sandu Hrandabur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cluj Fighting Race's Denis Harhoiu in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionuț Muscaș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 minutes, Mihăiţă Mocanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC STEAUA-BTF and the Cluj Fighting Race players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mihăiţă Mocanu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Mihail Nicodim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Muscaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cluj Fighting Race booed when FC STEAUA-BTF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Dănășel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Denis Harhoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Cluj Fighting Race were the better team. Cluj Fighting Race's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
