Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francisc Jienescu kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Fc Otelul Galati's Adam Spârlea got a free kick in the 5th minute. Pompiliu Marincean hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Nechifor Rainea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Zdrelea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fc Otelul Galati's Pompiliu Marincean got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Iurie Beniuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisc Jienescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Petre Enachescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nechifor Rainea in the 18th minute of play forced Udvarhelyi's goalkeeper Valer Zdrelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petre Enachescu was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Francisc Jienescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisc Jienescu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Spârlea in the 26th minute of play forced Udvarhelyi's goalkeeper Valer Zdrelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valer Zdrelea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Spârlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Valer Zdrelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Spârlea in the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Otelul Galati's zone, Iurie Beniuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Enachescu came out of the goal and Iurie Beniuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Udvarhelyi's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Spârlea came free, but Valer Zdrelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nechifor Rainea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Valer Zdrelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fc Otelul Galati's Adam Spârlea got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iurie Beniuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Enachescu having to interfere.

The wind increased when Adam Spârlea made the kick off in the second half. Petre Enachescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iurie Beniuc's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Adam Spârlea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Valer Zdrelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Nechifor Rainea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Otelul Galati's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nechifor Rainea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adam Spârlea was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Fc Otelul Galati's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Adam Spârlea came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Fc Otelul Galati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Spârlea couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Spârlea in the 74th minute of play forced Udvarhelyi's goalkeeper Valer Zdrelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petre Enachescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Beniuc in the 82nd minute of the match. Iurie Beniuc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre Enachescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Iurie Beniuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee gave Udvarhelyi a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Toacsen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fc Otelul Galati's Petre Enachescu. 2-0. Francisc Jienescu took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petre Enachescu. Petre Enachescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Udvarhelyi had won after a very even match.
