After 14 played minutes FC STEAUA ADJ got a freekick which was hit by Mihail Tufescu. Sandu Bîndean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nistor Curuțiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Panait Chiose fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC STEAUA ADJ's protests and gave Panait Chiose a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, FC STEAUA ADJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Chiose to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Fc Juventus M-Voda defense, Francisc Onișoru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciprian Șeimeanu. The Fc Juventus M-Voda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciprian Șeimeanu should have stopped the shot. Sandu Bîndean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Curuțiu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Sandu Bîndean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Juventus M-Voda's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandu Bîndean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Curuțiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA ADJ's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Bîndean came free, but Nistor Curuțiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciprian Șeimeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Robu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Sandu Bîndean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half FC STEAUA ADJ were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iurie Robu to make the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Sandu Bîndean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Juventus M-Voda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Bîndean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandu Bîndean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ferdinand Zăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silviu Tadici charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silviu Tadici the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC STEAUA ADJ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Iurie Robu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Fc Juventus M-Voda's Ferdinand Zăreanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nistor Curuțiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basarab Zbereanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciprian Șeimeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Robu in the 88th minute of the match. Francisc Onișoru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Șeimeanu having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Iurie Robu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ciprian Șeimeanu. Iurie Robu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. If Ferdinand Zăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC STEAUA ADJ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
