With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gigi Drăgoi in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ioan Marica saved -GMT- FC Corvinul from getting behind. When Bogdan Mărăcuță fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -GMT- FC Corvinul's protests and gave Bogdan Mărăcuță a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes in the game Vasile Pantilimon after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Ioan Marica. A very good opportunity. Gigi Drăgoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 42 minutes, Vasile Pantilimon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vederea AC and the -GMT- FC Corvinul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vederea AC's Vasile Pantilimon got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Laurențiu Anghel struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Ioan Marica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vederea AC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gigi Drăgoi made a kick off. The supporters of -GMT- FC Corvinul booed when Vederea AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Drăgoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laurențiu Anghel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Marica having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gigi Drăgoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ioan Marica was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. When Francisc Pop fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vederea AC's protests and gave Francisc Pop a yellow card for diving instead.
