Iurie Robu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Stroiescu having to interfere. Petrică Bogatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nistor Curuțiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Bogatu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cătălin Gârdescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Francisc Onișoru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Iurie Robu made a precise shot to the right of Vlad Stroiescu. F.c.InterBucarest's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cătălin Gârdescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nistor Curuțiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Bogatu in the 34th minute of the match. If Cătălin Gârdescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC STEAUA ADJ getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Basarab Zbereanu hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Petrică Bogatu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC STEAUA ADJ's Nistor Curuțiu. Nistor Curuțiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Francisc Onișoru came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC STEAUA ADJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisc Onișoru couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Petrică Bogatu made the kick off in the second half. Nistor Curuțiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cătălin Gârdescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to F.c.InterBucarest getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Aurelian Gârbovan hit a great ball. In the 61st minute FC STEAUA ADJ were awarded a corner. Silviu Tadici went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Silviu Tadici got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vlad Stroiescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Francisc Onișoru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vlad Stroiescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 64th minute of the match Aurelian Gârbovan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aurelian Gârbovan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of FC STEAUA ADJ booed when F.c.InterBucarest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Gârbovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basarab Zbereanu during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Basarab Zbereanu hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes, F.c.InterBucarest's Dorel Flamaropol shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nistor Curuțiu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.c.InterBucarest reached it. Cătălin Gârdescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vlad Stroiescu made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Francisc Onișoru sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iurie Robu in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vlad Stroiescu saved F.c.InterBucarest from getting behind. A collision led to F.c.InterBucarest getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Petrică Bogatu hit a great ball. FC STEAUA ADJ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silviu Tadici in the 91st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Iurie Robu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vlad Stroiescu. That made the score 1-2 in the 94 minute of play. The FC STEAUA ADJ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
