Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Emil Chifu struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Olimpiu Tarcea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stioboreni. Stioboreni's Lucrețiu Angheluță got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Stioboreni's Lucrețiu Angheluță sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olimpiu Tarcea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Stioboreni getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Dan Ecobescu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Angheluță in the 17th minute of play forced CFR Cluj's goalkeeper Olimpiu Tarcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Lucrețiu Angheluță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Tarcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucrețiu Angheluță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olimpiu Tarcea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Lucrețiu Angheluță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octav Preda kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, CFR Cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Purje to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Lucrețiu Angheluță sped through CFR Cluj's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olimpiu Tarcea. Lucrețiu Angheluță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Tarcea having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Lucrețiu Angheluță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olimpiu Tarcea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Toader Şandru hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octav Preda was the one to do the kick off. Dorel Miclescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remus Dulca in the 52nd minute. Olimpiu Tarcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Angheluță in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Stioboreni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Bitang to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Angheluță in the 59th minute of play forced CFR Cluj's goalkeeper Olimpiu Tarcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stioboreni's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Irinel Tirulescu in the 62nd minute. After taking down the ball on Stioboreni's corner Irinel Tirulescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olimpiu Tarcea quite easily take care of the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Eric Purje was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CFR Cluj's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stioboreni the free kick. Eric Purje hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. CFR Cluj's Olimpiu Tarcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Angheluță in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Emil Chifu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Tarcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Angheluță came free, but Olimpiu Tarcea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alin Chițes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Eric Purje managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CFR Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Purje was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lucrețiu Angheluță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Lucrețiu Angheluță left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stioboreni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After a rather tough play, CFR Cluj's Toader Şandru got a free kick in the 89th minute. When the referee ended the match the Stioboreni players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
