Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Angheluță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Angheluță in the 10th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lucrețiu Angheluță managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stioboreni's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucrețiu Angheluță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costel Chitimia lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 30 minutes into the game, Codrin Buhăescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sintamarie UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stioboreni the free kick. In the 35th minute Sergiu Ivănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Miclescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Sintamarie UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Maxim to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Stioboreni's Paul Danciu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Sintamarie UFC's zone, Emil Chifu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu came out of the goal and Emil Chifu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Emil Chifu made the kick off in the second half. Dorel Miclescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Buhăescu in the 51st minute of the match. Alin Chițes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu having to interfere. The supporters of Sintamarie UFC booed when Stioboreni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Ecobescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorel Miclescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Stelian in the 67th minute. In the 73rd minute, Dan Ecobescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Emil Chifu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Sintamarie UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Chifu came free, but Lucrețiu Pășcuțoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Sintamarie UFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
