The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Brădescu during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in HaYhuY fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The referee gave fcrapid a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Toader Ştefănuţ, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of HaYhuY's Eric Nicea. 0-1. In the 12th minute Dacian Turbatu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Tunaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Daria in the 16th minute of play forced HaYhuY's goalkeeper Eric Nicea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes HaYhuY got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Filipașcu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Daria in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Nicea saved HaYhuY from getting behind. When Cornel Daria came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the fcrapid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornel Daria couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, fcrapid's Edgar Novăceanu got a free kick in the 34th minute. After recieving a nice pass, HaYhuY's Claudiu Mihăilescu tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Maxim Petrică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Tunaru made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Aristide Iliuță sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 48 minutes, Aristide Iliuță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HaYhuY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristide Iliuță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornel Daria to make the kick off. A collision led to HaYhuY getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Isac Grozuță hit a great ball. Eric Nicea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Daria, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 61st match minute, HaYhuY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Mihăilescu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Ionel Grozuță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fcrapid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionel Grozuță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cornel Daria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eric Nicea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Eric Nicea managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when fcrapid's Ionel Grozuță fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cornel Daria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Eric Nicea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, HaYhuY's goalkeeper Eric Nicea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionel Grozuță. Ionel Grozuță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind fcrapid's goalkeeper Bogdan Tunaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fcrapid players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
