With a little luck, Pogonestii CS's Adam Ostoici got control of the ball when Fabian Răducanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 7 minutes, Octav Feteanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BERCENI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Feteanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doru Arvinte struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Cristinel Gârdescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pogonestii CS. Cristinel Gârdescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doru Arvinte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Ilie Holban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Pogonestii CS got a corner. BERCENI FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Doru Arvinte ran over to the corner to take the kick. Doru Arvinte made a great header on Pogonestii CS's corner, it was just that BERCENI FC's Cristinel Gârdescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristinel Gârdescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Bucuță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Doru Arvinte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pogonestii CS's Doru Arvinte in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BERCENI FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fabian Răducanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Ostoici having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Ionuț Romanescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionuț Romanescu's late challenge caught a BERCENI FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionuț Romanescu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BERCENI FC booed when Pogonestii CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Romanescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pogonestii CS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Valeriu Hălmăgeanu 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonard Bucuță was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Leonard Bucuță recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristinel Gârdescu. Leonard Bucuță showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Leonard Bucuță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Gârdescu having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Claudiu Cioculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Doru Arvinte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristinel Gârdescu, 1-2. Cristinel Gârdescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Arvinte in the 70th minute of play. When Ionuț Romanescu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. After 77 played minutes Pogonestii CS got a freekick which was hit by Ionuț Romanescu. After 81 minutes of play, Pogonestii CS's Leonard Bucuță made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristinel Gârdescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristinel Gârdescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Bucuță in the 91st minute of play. Pogonestii CS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
