Sergiu Panescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolae Ghimiș's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Ernest Tremurici scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergiu Panescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Super Nova's Cosmin Blăjan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Sergiu Panescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Tremurici, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Super Nova's Sergiu Panescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Tremurici in the 31st minute of play. Sergiu Panescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernest Tremurici's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

After 54 minutes of play, Cobweb's Nicolae Ghimiș made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergiu Panescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Alex Cudalb fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Super Nova's protests and gave Alex Cudalb a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cobweb booed when Super Nova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cudalb didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Sergiu Panescu managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Cobweb's Nicolae Ghimiș fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 64 minutes into the match, Cobweb's Ernest Tremurici sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergiu Panescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicolae Ghimiș struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Sergiu Panescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cobweb. In the 71st minute, Alin Timofte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cobweb's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
