Nichifor Săliştean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Simionaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Corsarii Tycalosi's Mugurel Tâbârnă got a free kick in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Fulgerul 1976 Braila's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Simionaş came free, but Nichifor Săliştean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Sever Drăghici managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corsarii Tycalosi's supporters rose to their feet, but Sever Drăghici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nichifor Săliştean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgerul 1976 Braila's Nichifor Săliştean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Iorgu in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Simionaş in the 23rd minute of play forced Fulgerul 1976 Braila's goalkeeper Nichifor Săliştean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nae Simionaş struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Nichifor Săliştean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corsarii Tycalosi. 31 minutes into the match, Fulgerul 1976 Braila's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Drăghici came free, but Nichifor Săliştean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nichifor Săliştean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nae Simionaş in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sever Galușcă to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53rd play minutes Sever Drăghici shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Nichifor Săliştean and just under the crossbar into goal. Fulgerul 1976 Braila's Nichifor Săliştean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Simionaş in the 58th minute of play. Sever Drăghici's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Nichifor Săliştean skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Codruț Bratu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Nae Simionaş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fulgerul 1976 Braila's Nichifor Săliştean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dragoş Săvoiu came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fulgerul 1976 Braila's Codruț Bratu. But to his dismay, Codruț Bratu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Sever Drăghici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nichifor Săliştean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Nae Simionaş recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nichifor Săliştean. Nae Simionaş showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Nichifor Săliştean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Drăghici in the 84th minute. If Sever Drăghici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Corsarii Tycalosi walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
