Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristian Săvoiu got the match started through his kick off. Aurel Sitaru made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when George Durbacă sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Cocioc SC's Aurel Sitaru got control of the ball when George Durbacă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petruț Măguran came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Cocioc SC's Petre Teişanu. But to his dismay, Petre Teişanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute Petre Teişanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Măguran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Teişanu in the 26th minute of play forced Rapido FC's goalkeeper Petruț Măguran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Petre Teişanu made a precise shot to the right of Petruț Măguran. Rapido FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Petre Teişanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Petruț Măguran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cocioc SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Petruț Măguran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Uncheşu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petruț Măguran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Hudiță, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. The Rapido FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cocioc SC were winning 1-2.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Petre Teişanu got free with Petruț Măguran in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Rapido FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cocioc SC:s goal. Nicu Andrieșanu shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Petre Teişanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Măguran having to interfere. Petruț Măguran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Uncheşu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petre Teişanu came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Petruț Măguran could save by the left post. Petre Teişanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Cristian Săvoiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurel Sitaru was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Petruț Măguran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Uncheşu in the 81st minute of the match. Dorel Mardarescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petruț Măguran came out and tried to block the shot, but Dorel Mardarescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 86th minute. When Petre Teişanu came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Cocioc SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petre Teişanu couldn't finish the play. Rapido FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Augustin Uncheşu 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. The supporters of Rapido FC booed when Cocioc SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Costescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cocioc SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
