Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristian Săvoiu started the match with the kick off. Petruț Măguran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Ursu in the 3rd minute of play. Petruț Măguran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Ursu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, GATEMI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Sasu to maneuver through the defense. GATEMI's Mihnea Macamete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Săvoiu in the 9th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, GATEMI's goalkeeper Mihnea Macamete had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Durbacă. 14 minutes into the game, Dorel Vulcănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GATEMI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapido FC the free kick. Rapido FC's Cristian Săvoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Rapido FC booed when GATEMI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcis Ipate didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rapido FC's Felix Lazăr couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for GATEMI. 22 minutes into the match, Rapido FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Semeghin came free, but Petruț Măguran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petruț Măguran came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by GATEMI's Valeriu Semeghin. But to his dismay, Valeriu Semeghin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, George Durbacă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapido FC's supporters rose to their feet, but George Durbacă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihnea Macamete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valeriu Semeghin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Măguran having to interfere. Cristian Săvoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Săvoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, GATEMI's Dorel Vulcănescu got a free kick in the 36th minute. Valeriu Semeghin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Măguran having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Rapido FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Sitaru.

The wind increased when Gabriel Ursu made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narcis Ipate during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, GATEMI's Narcis Ipate got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Cristian Săvoiu fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapido FC's protests and gave Cristian Săvoiu a yellow card for diving instead. Petruț Măguran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Ursu in the 62nd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Valeriu Semeghin made a precise shot to the right of Petruț Măguran. Rapido FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 87 played minutes, Rapido FC's Felix Lazăr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mihnea Macamete came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rapido FC reached it. 91 minutes into the match, GATEMI's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Săvoiu came free, but Mihnea Macamete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Cristian Săvoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Macamete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GATEMI's zone, George Durbacă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Macamete came out of the goal and George Durbacă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to GATEMI getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ştefan Cristescu hit a great ball. Mihnea Macamete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Săvoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. GATEMI's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
