When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Ursu made a kick off. Argestru CS's Florin Petrescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Semeghin in the 52nd minute of play. Florin Lupu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihnea Macamete read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Valeriu Semeghin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GATEMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valeriu Semeghin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marian Graur was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Argestru CS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Dorel Vulcănescu hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in GATEMI's zone, Florin Lupu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Macamete came out of the goal and Florin Lupu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florin Lupu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Marian Graur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihnea Macamete was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Valeriu Semeghin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes GATEMI got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Vulcănescu. When Marian Graur came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Argestru CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Graur couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Argestru CS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GATEMI throughout the match.
