Anton Simionescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Ghionea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Traian Croitoru having to interfere. Eric Zdraşcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Debrecen RO's Leontin Buzea, in the 33rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Debrecen RO. Traian Croitoru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Simionescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Traian Croitoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Simionescu in the 42nd minute of play. Anton Simionescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Traian Croitoru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Traian Croitoru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Simionescu's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

International ACL's Dan Udrescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Buzea in the 56th minute of play. Eric Zdraşcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Udrescu having to interfere. If Leontin Buzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Victor Lupoaia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eric Zdraşcu came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Debrecen RO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Zdraşcu couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, International ACL's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Butnaru came free, but Dan Udrescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If David Ghionea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Udrescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leontin Buzea went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Leontin Buzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
