If Sabin Medeleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Remus Fința came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Fc Catanga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remus Fința couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the game, Jonastii's Sabin Medeleanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionică Cupșa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Jonastii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Enășoiu to maneuver through the defense. Remus Fința in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Orășan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fc Catanga! In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Jonastii. Anton Boldișor stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ionică Cupșa. 0-2. Gavril Enășoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabin Medeleanu took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionică Cupșa. Ionică Cupșa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Enășoiu in the 33rd minute of play forced Fc Catanga's goalkeeper Ionică Cupșa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Cupșa came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Jonastii's Sabin Medeleanu. But to his dismay, Sabin Medeleanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 40 played minutes Fc Catanga got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Capătă. Gavril Enășoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remus Fința got free with Eric Orășan in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavril Enășoiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Remus Fința managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Catanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remus Fința was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabin Medeleanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ionică Cupșa having to make a save. Remus Fința sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remus Fința fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere. Sandu Mustea hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Remus Fința kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Remus Fința had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Ţirpescu hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Octavian Dragnea, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandu Mustea during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jonastii's Sandu Mustea got a free kick in the 81st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Ionică Cupșa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 89 minutes into the match, Jonastii's Sabin Medeleanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionică Cupșa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc Catanga's goalkeeper Ionică Cupșa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Remus Fința had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remus Fința struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Eric Orășan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Catanga. Chants of Jonastii echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Fc Catanga had held the ball for most of the match.
