Iustinian Lupulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavril Enășoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iordache Culcer hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Gavril Enășoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonastii's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavril Enășoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iustinian Lupulescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabin Medeleanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gavril Enășoiu came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Jonastii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavril Enășoiu couldn't finish the play. When Jonastii's Gavril Enășoiu in 17 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Iustinian Lupulescu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Sever Bădilescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Teodor Goicea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VT Asycuda and the Jonastii players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to VT Asycuda getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Teodor Goicea hit a great ball. Sabin Medeleanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Iustinian Lupulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sever Bădilescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere. Jonastii's Eric Orășan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Pătrașcu in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, VT Asycuda's Iustinian Lupulescu got control of the ball when Sabin Medeleanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sever Bădilescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sever Bădilescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere. Sever Bădilescu struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Eric Orășan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VT Asycuda. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st minute, VT Asycuda's Sever Bădilescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Sabin Medeleanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionel Macrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Iustinian Lupulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to VT Asycuda getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Vasile Floricel hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Anton Boldișor sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and VT Asycuda's Iustinian Lupulescu didn't even have to move. Iustinian Lupulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Medeleanu in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Bădilescu in the 66th minute of play forced Jonastii's goalkeeper Eric Orășan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sabin Medeleanu came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Jonastii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabin Medeleanu couldn't finish the play. If Sabin Medeleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionuț Pătrașcu got free with Eric Orășan in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iustinian Lupulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Medeleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The supporters of Jonastii booed when VT Asycuda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Floricel didn't get a good kick on the ball. VT Asycuda's Teodor Goicea got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Teodor Goicea off the ground. After 82 played minutes VT Asycuda got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Goicea. When Jonastii's Sabin Medeleanu in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VT Asycuda's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonastii's goalkeeper Eric Orășan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ionuț Pătrașcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Jonastii supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VT Asycuda's performance. The match ended with a win for VT Asycuda.
