Adam Zdrenţu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Constantin Tănase's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Zdrenţu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Adam Zdrenţu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristi Timofte, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Cristi Timofte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Zdrenţu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Basca's goalkeeper Adam Zdrenţu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Viorel Neagoe hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Sirna CS's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Zbârlea came free, but Sorin Siadbei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristi Timofte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

In the 53rd minute Cristi Timofte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Zdrenţu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Tănase succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 59th playminute. Constantin Tănase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Zdrenţu having to interfere. If Constantin Tănase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Murgescu's late challenge caught a Sirna CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Murgescu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Basca getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. David Murgescu hit a great ball. When Nicolae Savu fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basca's protests and gave Nicolae Savu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Basca's Nicolae Savu got a free kick in the 80th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Basca's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Timofte came free, but Adam Zdrenţu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristi Timofte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Zdrenţu was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Cristi Timofte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Zdrenţu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Tănase's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Zdrenţu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Constantin Tănase had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Zdrenţu. Basca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantin Tănase was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Sirna CS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
