Spectators: 7528 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1753, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gelu Cotoi kicked off to start the match. Grigore Crăcană recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute Moise Zbârlea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Cismaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Gherasim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Zdrenţu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Robert Sbârcea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Zdrenţu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Cotoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Robert Sbârcea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adam Zdrenţu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Sbârcea in the 37th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, FcVoluntari's goalkeeper Vlad Cismaș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grigore Crăcană. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moise Zbârlea was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by FcVoluntari's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iordache Frumușanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Basca's players had a chance to rest. 60 minutes into the game, Gelu Cotoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adam Zdrenţu. Gelu Cotoi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After 64 played minutes FcVoluntari got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Cotoi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moise Zbârlea in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vlad Cismaș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute of the match, Gelu Cotoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adam Zdrenţu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gelu Cotoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Gelu Cotoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. FcVoluntari's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Cotoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Zdrenţu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot by Iosif Urdea from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Adam Zdrenţu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Basca's Adam Zdrenţu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Cotoi in the 82nd minute of play. Robert Sbârcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Basca defense, Robert Sbârcea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Zdrenţu. The Basca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Zdrenţu should have stopped the shot. The Basca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FcVoluntari were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
