When Varlezi's Sergiu Cercelescu, in the 10th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Varlezi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Cercelescu in the 13th minute of play forced Unirea Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Filip Toacsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Vasilică hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Unirea Alba Iulia's Marcu Vasilică got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Varlezi's Iustin Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Vasilică in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Unirea Alba Iulia were awarded a corner. Emanuel Buzgar went to the cornerflag to take it. 22 minutes into the game, Sergiu Cercelescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filip Toacsen. Sergiu Cercelescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Filip Toacsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergiu Cercelescu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filip Toacsen saved Unirea Alba Iulia from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Unirea Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Filip Toacsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Mărculescu. 38 minutes into the match, Unirea Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Cercelescu came free, but Filip Toacsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Sebastian Mărculescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filip Toacsen, 2-0. After having played for 45 minutes, Sebastian Mărculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varlezi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Mărculescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marin Condescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Marin Condescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Mărculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Unirea Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Vasilică came free, but Filip Toacsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sergiu Cercelescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergiu Cercelescu scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filip Toacsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Varlezi's Sergiu Cercelescu in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unirea Alba Iulia's goalie prevented a goal. After 76 played minutes Varlezi got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Mărculescu. 79 minutes into the game, Marin Condescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unirea Alba Iulia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varlezi the free kick. After 80 played minutes Unirea Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Marin Condescu. Sergiu Cercelescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Varlezi's Sebastian Mărculescu in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 89th minute Sebastian Mărculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Toacsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Varlezi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Uncescu to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Varlezi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
