Viorel Marica hit a great ball. Gelu Mihaiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sorin Andriescu in the 29th minute. Marin Romoşan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Marin Romoşan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Mihaiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Haidaru getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Moise Chițu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Haidaru's zone, Marin Romoşan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gelu Mihaiu came out of the goal and Marin Romoşan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marian Macovei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Chițu in the 42nd minute of the match. Sorin Andriescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gelu Mihaiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sorin Andriescu ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Moise Chițu made the kick off in the second half. Marian Macovei made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Moise Chițu sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tudor Drăgoescu during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MOTANILA getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tudor Drăgoescu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Moise Chițu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haidaru's supporters rose to their feet, but Moise Chițu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Macovei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute, Sorin Andriescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sorin Andriescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gelu Mihaiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. When MOTANILA's Marin Romoşan in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Haidaru's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Moise Chițu took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Marian Macovei to make any attempt to save it. Marian Macovei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moise Chițu in the 93rd minute. Gelu Mihaiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Romoşan in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute Marin Romoşan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Mihaiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
