Spectators: 7488 (Terracing: 5617, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Codrin Groza took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Nae Adam fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ionut's protests and gave Nae Adam a yellow card for diving instead. Valeriu Bucuță, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee gave Ionut a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Romeo Agrigoroaiei, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Speranta's Cristian Aldescu. 0-1. Codrin Groza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Micescu having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Bogdan Iuonaș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Speranta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogdan Iuonaș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Aurelian Simionică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ionut's Aurelian Simionică got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rareș Răuţă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Speranta's zone, Aurelian Simionică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Aldescu came out of the goal and Aurelian Simionică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Speranta's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Simionică came free, but Cristian Aldescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionut's Nicu Micescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Ionut from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ionut's zone, Codrin Groza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicu Micescu came out of the goal and Codrin Groza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Codrin Groza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ionut's Nicu Micescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Speranta's goal looked a bit too open when Rareș Răuţă came free, but Cristian Aldescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, one of Speranta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Speranta. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 51st play minute Aurelian Simionică came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cristian Aldescu. 0-3. Cristian Aldescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rareș Răuţă showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 59 minute of play. Ionut's Nicu Micescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Iuonaș in the 66th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Ionut got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Gavra. Nicu Micescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Iuonaș, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Iordache Vârjean charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iordache Vârjean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Speranta getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Iordache Vârjean hit a great ball. Cristian Aldescu was a little too slow when Aurelian Simionică got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-5. Rareș Răuţă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cristian Aldescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Speranta's Codrin Groza got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Codrin Groza's late challenge caught a Ionut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codrin Groza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Speranta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Groza to maneuver through the defense. Ionut's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
