Ionut's Romeo Agrigoroaiei couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atletico Iasi. Dacian Negara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Micescu having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Atletico Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Simionică came free, but Anton Senin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ioan Raicu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Romeo Agrigoroaiei, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 41st match minute, Atletico Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florin Dordea to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Aurelian Simionică cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Anton Senin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aurelian Simionică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Anton Senin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dacian Negara to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Aurelian Simionică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ionut's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Simionică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelian Simionică who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Anton Senin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Atletico Iasi's Anton Senin got control of the ball when Aurelian Simionică tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62ndth minute of the game Rareș Răuţă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Iasi's Anton Senin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rareș Răuţă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelian Simionică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelian Simionică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Anton Senin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anton Senin was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Rareș Răuţă capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rareș Răuţă really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2.
