The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Radu Roşoga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Căliman came out of the goal and Radu Roşoga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the game, Radu Roşoga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgar Căliman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 15th minute, Radu Roşoga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Claudiu Trifu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpool's Edgar Căliman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Claudiu Trifu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Căliman came out of the goal and Claudiu Trifu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cristinel Alb hit a great ball. When Radu Roşoga came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Sohodolu CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Roşoga couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marian Radu during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sohodolu CSS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Marian Radu hit a great ball. Claudiu Trifu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radu Roşoga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Laurențiu Finteșteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emil Cârnațiu made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sohodolu CSS's Claudiu Trifu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Căliman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Radu Roşoga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudiu Trifu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Căliman having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudiu Trifu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Căliman. That made the score 0-3 in the 58 minute of play. In the 61st minute, Radu Roşoga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sohodolu CSS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Claudiu Trifu struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Edgar Căliman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sohodolu CSS. Radu Roşoga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Liverpool's Edgar Căliman got control of the ball when Radu Roşoga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgar Căliman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Trifu in the 75th minute of the match. Edgar Căliman made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Claudiu Trifu sent off a good shot on target. If Claudiu Trifu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Daniel Necula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sohodolu CSS the free kick. After 91 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Necula. In the 93rd minute Claudiu Trifu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Căliman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sohodolu CSS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
