Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Octav Tomoioagă made the kick off and thus started the match. Minerul Motru FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolae Panaiteanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicu Micescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicu Micescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Tomoioagă in the 7th minute of the match. Nicolae Panaiteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Micescu having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ionut's Rareș Răuţă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mihail Enceanu. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 15th minute Octav Tomoioagă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Micescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Minerul Motru FC's Nicolae Panaiteanu in 16 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Nicu Micescu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Aurelian Simionică's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Mihail Enceanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mihail Enceanu made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Aurelian Simionică sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Octav Tomoioagă made a precise shot to the right of Nicu Micescu. Ionut's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The supporters of Minerul Motru FC booed when Ionut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sorin Prunaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Aurelian Simionică got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 34thth minute of the game Octav Tomoioagă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ionut's Nicu Micescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sorin Prunaru hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Nicolae Panaiteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Minerul Motru FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marcu Măguran hit a great ball. If Rareș Răuţă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rareș Răuţă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Aurelian Simionică came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ionut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelian Simionică couldn't finish the play. Aurelian Simionică fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Enceanu having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rareș Răuţă in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihail Enceanu saved Minerul Motru FC from getting behind. If Octav Tomoioagă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Rareș Răuţă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vali Crăciunaș kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Octav Tomoioagă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicu Micescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Tomoioagă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ionut's Romeo Agrigoroaiei couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Minerul Motru FC. After 85 minutes, Nistor Ghiurutan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minerul Motru FC and the Ionut players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Minerul Motru FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Ghiurutan to maneuver through the defense. Aurelian Simionică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ionut's zone, Octav Tomoioagă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicu Micescu came out of the goal and Octav Tomoioagă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Ionut's goalkeeper Nicu Micescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolae Panaiteanu. Nicolae Panaiteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Nicu Micescu made a huge save.
