Codrin Groza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Lucrețiu Şerb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ionel Alupoaie was the one to do the kick off. Lucrețiu Şerb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Groza in the 52nd minute of the match. When Petre Gorjanu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Stenea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petre Gorjanu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Speranta getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Flavius Olteanu hit a great ball. Dorel Oțeteleșanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristian Aldescu. Speranta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lucrețiu Şerb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Groza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Petre Gorjanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stenea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Ionel Alupoaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Speranta's Valeriu Bucuță got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
