George Tăbăcaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgil Gavra went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Simionică in the 39th minute of play forced CF Ramnicu Valcea's goalkeeper George Tăbăcaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Nae Adam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ionut's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF Ramnicu Valcea the free kick. In the 47th minute, Nae Adam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rareș Răuţă to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, CF Ramnicu Valcea's George Tăbăcaru got control of the ball when Aurelian Simionică tried to sneak it across the goal line. CF Ramnicu Valcea's George Tăbăcaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Răuţă in the 54th minute of play. The referee ignored CF Ramnicu Valcea's protests and gave Mugur Poplăcean a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Ionut's Rareș Răuţă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. 91 minutes into the match, CF Ramnicu Valcea's goal looked a bit too open when Rareș Răuţă came free, but George Tăbăcaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Tăbăcaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Răuţă in the 92nd minute of play. George Tăbăcaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Răuţă in the 97th minute of the match. Ionut's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
