Ionuț Ispir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costică Mitescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Ionuț Ispir fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Costică Mitescu, passed just outside the right post. Ilie Nicorici hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Ionuț Ispir took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Costică Mitescu to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionuț Ispir in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costică Mitescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd match minute, JIU PETROSANI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Nicorici to maneuver through the defense. Trepadusii - BTF's Andrei Costeiantu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Ionuț Ispir made the kick off in the second half. Ionuț Ispir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costică Mitescu having to make a save. The audience was convinced that David Cănănău's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costică Mitescu was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 55th minute of the match Trepadusii - BTF got a corner. JIU PETROSANI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ionuț Ispir ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 59th minute, Ionuț Ispir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costin Dobre kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Costică Mitescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Cănănău in the 62nd minute of play. Costică Mitescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionuț Ispir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Ionuț Ispir sped through JIU PETROSANI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Costică Mitescu. Ionuț Ispir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Mitescu having to interfere. When Augustin Cămătaru came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Trepadusii - BTF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Cămătaru couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Ispir in the 75th minute of play forced JIU PETROSANI's goalkeeper Costică Mitescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Ionuț Ispir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trepadusii - BTF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Andrei Costeiantu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Costică Mitescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavril Ghiondea's late challenge caught a Trepadusii - BTF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavril Ghiondea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Trepadusii - BTF. Ionuț Ispir stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Costică Mitescu. 6-0. 91 minutes into the match, Ionuț Ispir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Costică Mitescu. JIU PETROSANI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Ispir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 97th minute, Ionuț Ispir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trepadusii - BTF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Trepadusii - BTF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
