With a little luck, Fc Dreamers's Sandu Cămătaru got control of the ball when Călin Manolache tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Călin Manolache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Athletic Club Brasov getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Lucian Cândreanu hit a great ball. When Dumitru Bran came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Fc Dreamers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Bran couldn't finish the play. Athletic Club Brasov's Eugen Condrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Zdroană in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute Manole Istodor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandu Cămătaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugen Condrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Zdroană, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Athletic Club Brasov's Manole Istodor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandu Cămătaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stelian Zdroană sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 46 minutes, Constantin Oțeteleșanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Dreamers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Oțeteleșanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manole Istodor made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Athletic Club Brasov's goalkeeper Eugen Condrea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantin Oțeteleșanu. Sandu Cămătaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manole Istodor went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Constantin Oțeteleșanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Athletic Club Brasov got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Bârsan. Fc Dreamers's Stelian Zdroană got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stelian Zdroană in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Condrea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee gave Fc Dreamers a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dumitru Bran, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Athletic Club Brasov's Eugen Condrea. 2-1. When Stelian Zdroană came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Fc Dreamers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stelian Zdroană couldn't finish the play.
