Cosmin Nișu hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Vlad Juniors FC's Ilie Logofeteanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cazimir Rareș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 32nd minute Alex Moise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Rareș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Vlad Juniors FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Nișu. UNITED GALATI's Cristian Fenici got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilie Logofeteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cazimir Rareș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Fenici in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iustin Udrişte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute Alex Moise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Rareș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, UNITED GALATI's Virgil Durbac got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Vlad Juniors FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Moise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cazimir Rareș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of UNITED GALATI booed when Vlad Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Turcescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stelian Buricea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Iustin Udrişte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vlad Juniors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Moise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, UNITED GALATI's goalkeeper Cazimir Rareș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilie Logofeteanu. Alex Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cazimir Rareș having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Stelian Buricea managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNITED GALATI's supporters rose to their feet, but Stelian Buricea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iustin Udrişte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iustin Udrişte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelian Buricea in the 90th minute of play. Stelian Buricea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iustin Udrişte having to make a save. The Vlad Juniors FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented UNITED GALATI from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
