Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cătălin Lucănescu made the kick off which started today's match. Nechifor Oprița showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Lucănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Manuel Elefteriu fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghidut FC's protests and gave Manuel Elefteriu a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Elefteriu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Dinu Jurcuț successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Ghidut FC booed when FC Jiul Petrosani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nae Ghizdeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cătălin Lucănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Oprița having to interfere. If Petru Muslea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. Dinu Jurcuț was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute, Ghidut FC's Nicodim Neguțu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Petru Muslea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes of play FC Jiul Petrosani's Victor Magheru was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to FC Jiul Petrosani getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Victor Magheru hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Petru Muslea made the kick off in the second half. Petru Muslea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicodim Neguțu in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinu Jurcuț saved FC Jiul Petrosani from getting behind. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Elefteriu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dinu Jurcuț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorel Bobei hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nae Ghizdeanu during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Petru Muslea sped through FC Jiul Petrosani's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dinu Jurcuț. Eusebiu Vădan struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Nechifor Oprița didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Jiul Petrosani. Ghidut FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
