Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mihăiţă Coposu kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, STEAUA BUCURESTI's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Petru Muslea fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 9th minute, Daniel Banica sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and STEAUA BUCURESTI's Remus Apostu didn't even have to move. In the 15th minute Alex Iorgovan suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. After 16 played minutes Ghidut FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Elefteriu. After 17 minutes, Silviu Teodoroiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STEAUA BUCURESTI and the Ghidut FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silviu Teodoroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Petru Muslea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Remus Apostu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Petru Muslea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Apostu having to interfere. After 22 played minutes STEAUA BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Coposu. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Petru Muslea took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Remus Apostu to make any attempt to save it. Remus Apostu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Neguțu in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Petru Muslea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghidut FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petru Muslea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicodim Neguțu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Remus Apostu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Neguțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Apostu having to interfere. If Nicodim Neguțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Petru Muslea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Remus Apostu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petru Muslea struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Remus Apostu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghidut FC. Remus Apostu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Neguțu in the 57th minute of the match. Remus Apostu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Muslea, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Remus Apostu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Neguțu in the 65th minute of play. When Tudor Iosif fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA BUCURESTI's protests and gave Tudor Iosif a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, STEAUA BUCURESTI's Tudor Iosif got a free kick in the 67th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Latarețu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivan Latarețu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Petru Muslea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Apostu having to interfere. Remus Apostu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Lesnea in the 74th minute of play. Petru Muslea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Elefteriu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remus Apostu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Ghidut FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ionel Arnăutu hit a great ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ghidut FC's goalkeeper Nechifor Oprița, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aron Lesnea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Remus Apostu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ghidut FC's Petru Muslea in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye STEAUA BUCURESTI's goalie prevented a goal. Nicodim Neguțu's late challenge caught a STEAUA BUCURESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicodim Neguțu helped the player get up and apologised. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ghidut FC had played much better football throughout.
